Mechanical Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage assigned mechanical construction activities within the plant under the guidance of senior construction leadership
• Oversee contractor activities related to mechanical scopes to ensure alignment with project plans, schedules, and quality expectations
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems within the facility
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain alignment with project objectives, specifications, and safety requirements
• Assist in the development and execution of construction schedules related to plant shutdowns and product line downtimes
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or risks, and escalate concerns
• Support compliance with site safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Assist with project documentation and prepare status updates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical construction, mechanical systems oversight, or industrial capital projects
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well on a team
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
