Mechanical Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment including mechanical assembly, electrical connections, and pneumatic system setup
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic principles
• Perform repairs ranging from component replacement to complex system overhauls
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

• Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, industrial, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience as an Equipment Technician in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of mechanical principles including power transmission, bearings, gears, and hydraulics
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot AC/DC, motors, and control systems
• Basic understanding of pneumatic components such as valves, cylinders, and actuators
• Strong diagnostic and analytical problem-solving skills
• Clear technical communication skills
