Mechanical Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Manufacture laminated sheet metal packages for large turbogenerators (up to 350 MVA)
• Manipulate and align large mechanical components, including the setup and alignment of large stators
• Perform manual installation of laminated sheet metal packages, including dimensional checks and adjustment work
• Execute hydraulic pressing of laminated sheet metal packages

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Ability to read technical manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge of materials, tools, and machinery handling
• Basic understanding of electrical installations on machines and safety regulations
• Valid crane license
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift system and perform overtime
• Proficiency in the German language
• Strong teamwork skills and a conscientious way of working

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in a similar manufacturing role
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
