About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and integration of spacecraft hardware and flight harnessing
- Contribute to concept creation, hardware build, and test campaigns
- Deliver fully qualified components for integration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges
- Participate in mentorship, tech talks, and professional networking events
Requirements
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math
- At least one semester of school remaining post-internship
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or personal projects)
- Ability to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting August or September 2026
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 3.5 or above
- 6+ months of applied engineering experience
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX & Teamcenter)
- Finite Element Analysis experience (ANSYS, Simcenter 3D, FEMAP/NASTRAN)
- 3D printing experience
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and machining experience
- Lathe machining experience
- Familiarity with spacecraft design principles and flight hardware harnesses
