Mechanical Engineering Intern, Robotics

Responsibilities

• Design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices, including surgical robotics and automation
• Own projects from concept to production
• Collaborate with neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to determine design criteria
• Build systems quickly and effectively

Requirements

• 6+ months of technical experience outside of the classroom (research, projects, or internships)
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles
• Ability to work in a cross-disciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience
• Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software
• Experience with conventional machining and rapid prototyping
• Experience with precision design and manufacturing
• Experience with advanced imaging techniques
