Mechanical Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Own at least one project from early conceptual design to installation on the development aircraft
• Experience the full hardware development cycle through high-priority projects
• Contribute to automated flight systems through hands-on design and testing

Requirements

• Junior or Senior standing in a 4-year mechanical engineering degree program or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of statics, dynamics, and materials
• Experience in NX or similar CAD software
• Experience in Simcenter or similar FEA packages
• Demonstrated passion for mechanical or electromechanical hardware

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on application of mechanical systems through classes, clubs, or hobbies
• Experience applying hand calculations and FEM to predict failure modes
• Ability to design, build, and operate mechanical test stands
• Excellent measurement, technical writing, and data analysis skills
