About the role
Responsibilities
- Design 3D parts, assemblies, drawings, and Model Based Definitions (MBDs)
- Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Design piping systems and select appropriate materials and hardware
- Support manufacturing and quality teams with continuous process improvements
- Source components and suppliers for sheet metal, hardware, fastening, and HVAC needs
- Develop technical skillsets in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat exchanger design under professional mentoring
Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (PTC Creo preferred)
- Experience with Sheet Metal design
- Ability to read and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of PDM and PLM systems
- Understanding of HVAC/R systems and components
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the HVAC or industrial products industry
- Specific expertise in Air Cooled Chillers
