Mechanical Engineer - Utilities Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of utilities equipment including steam generation, water treatment, air compressors, cooling towers, and other related systems
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of utilities equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and incident reports
• Participate in risk assessments and safety audits related to utilities operations
• Keep abreast of advancements in utilities technology and apply best practices in maintenance and operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in utilities maintenance within the petrochemical industry
• Strong knowledge of steam generation, water treatment, air and gas compressors, and cooling systems
• Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical failures and implementing effective solutions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and operations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with relevant industry safety and environmental regulations
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools
