About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and field support of mechanical and fluid systems for the F-22 fighter
- Work within an integrated team to develop interface definitions and system/subsystem requirements
- Perform detail design development, including spatial integration of CAD models for subsystem components
- Support the maintenance and modification of platform system designs and drawings
- Investigate and troubleshoot anomalies in fielded hardware and software over the product lifecycle
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Prepare technical documents for presentations, customer reviews, and proposals
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
- 3+ years of experience working with aerospace vehicles and their components
- U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more years of related work experience or higher education
- Experience with CATIA V5 or other computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, and schematics
- Direct experience with life support systems
