Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve engineering defects and production issues for existing Semiconductor Test ATE platforms
• Lead activities to resolve factory “line-down” issues, taking ownership from identification through resolution deployment
• Generate technical specifications, detailed drawings, BOMs, and assemblies
• Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles
• Manage ECO/ECN generation and implementation
• Coordinate material rework activities and manage small to medium projects
• Participate in design reviews and safety-related escalations
• Perform prototype procurement and vendor selection
• Travel to customer sites or manufacturers globally (5% to 10%) to solve engineering issues

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with E/M packaging layout and design, including sheet metal, plastics, cabling, and PC Boards
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Demonstrated proficiency in ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T standards
• Ability to perform tolerance analysis to investigate technical fit and fabrication problems
• Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional integration skills
• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and handle multiple time zones
