Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for wearable and robotic devices
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on designs to improve performance and reliability
• Contribute to DFM/DFA efforts to ensure designs can scale from low-volume prototypes to high-volume production
• Work with vendors and suppliers on prototyping, tooling, and production readiness
• Perform basic analyses including tolerance, structural, and thermal to validate design decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in electrical, software, and industrial design to integrate mechanical systems

Requirements

• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Strong CAD skills, specifically with OnShape or SolidWorks
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing and machining
• Understanding of DFM/DFA principles
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on consumer hardware, robotics, or compact devices
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
