About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of complex mechanical systems projects within the Industrial Studio
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members, including Engineers in Training and Technologists
  • Manage workload and resource planning in coordination with Team Leads
  • Evaluate, select, and engineer mechanical systems and products for various project scales
  • Utilize BIM technologies to develop three-dimensional models and provide technical markups
  • Prepare and revise technical documentation, including site plans, floor plans, and specifications
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on personal deliverables and peer projects
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and design approaches for multiple concurrent projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional mechanical engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of building and energy codes
  • Ability to qualify for Security Clearance with the Department of National Defense
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification
  • Strong presentation and interview skills
  • Experience with Revizto and heat load calculation software
