About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer mechanical systems and products for diverse projects.
- Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and 3D BIM technologies.
- Prepare and revise documentation including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, and contractors.
- Manage project scope, budgets, and design approaches for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and those of peers.
- Mentor and coach junior staff, including Engineers in Training, Technologists, and Co-ops.
- Provide technical writing and fee development support for multi-disciplinary proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building and energy codes.
- Ability to qualify for Security Clearance with the Department of National Defense.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification.
- Experience with Revizto and heat load calculation software.
- Strong presentation and interview skills.
