Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer mechanical systems and products for diverse projects.
• Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and 3D BIM technologies.
• Prepare and revise documentation including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, and contractors.
• Manage project scope, budgets, and design approaches for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and those of peers.
• Mentor and coach junior staff, including Engineers in Training, Technologists, and Co-ops.
• Provide technical writing and fee development support for multi-disciplinary proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of building and energy codes.
• Ability to qualify for Security Clearance with the Department of National Defense.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and industry standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification.
• Experience with Revizto and heat load calculation software.
• Strong presentation and interview skills.
