Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and qualify mechanical assemblies in iterative cycles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative payload electromechanical interfaces
• Partner with manufacturing teams to scale projects into high-volume production
• Conduct mechanical analysis using hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Manage execution and outcomes of design, development, testing, and launch milestones

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience using CAD software (NX, CATIA, or ProE)
• 1+ years of experience with finite element analysis (FEA)
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering experience
• Strong experience with GD&T compliant manufacturing drawings
• Experience with FEA software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or ABAQUS
• Experience in mechatronics or cross-disciplinary skill sets
• Programming experience in Python, Matlab, C/C++, or Excel
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
