Mechanical Engineer - Senior Thermal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for modular data center infrastructure solutions within the global new product development (NPD) team.
• Select thermal equipment and components that satisfy project requirements and create detailed 3D models of HVAC assemblies.
• Perform thermal system calculations, CFD analysis, and energy code compliance reporting.
• Develop Thermal Schematic Design (SD), Detail Design (DD), and Construction Drawing (CD) packages.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for fabrication and integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and manufacturing, to support production and testing.
• Support the Pre-Sales team with solution development, quotations, and customer presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar engineering position.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, with a strong preference for Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and produce HVAC construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Experience with thermal system calculations and CFD analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple ongoing projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (15–25%).

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of and ability to navigate current Energy Codes.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center facilities.
