About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, install, and commission mechanical utility connections for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Evaluate tool vendor installation matrices and review detailed hookup designs, including P&IDs, 3D BIM models, and isometric drawings
  • Oversee mechanical contractors during the installation of ultra-clean and high-purity piping to ensure QA/QC standards
  • Witness and approve pressure, leak, and analytical testing for high-purity gas and chemical delivery lines
  • Partner with FAB Engineering, Facilities Operations, EHS, and Equipment Vendors to ensure seamless tool integration
  • Manage the RFI and FCO processes to resolve design conflicts during execution
  • Lead mechanical sign-off for Tool Matrix Verification to ensure compliance with SEMI standards

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of SEMI S2/S8 safety and ergonomic guidelines, as well as FM and NFPA codes
  • Strong technical knowledge of orbital welding processes, stainless steel piping, and UHP gas/chemical delivery
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks for spatial coordination and clash detection
  • Experience with cleanroom construction protocols and contamination control
  • Ability to calculate pressure drops, flow rates, and exhaust ventilation requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing third-party mechanical contractors and international tool vendors
  • Strong analytical mindset for troubleshooting field interference or utility capacity bottlenecks
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
