Neuralink is creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize human-digital interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate robot mechanical and electrical components and assemblies with an emphasis on usability and safety
  • Collaborate with clinical trial participants, neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to establish design criteria
  • Rapidly and effectively build systems to meet project goals
  • Apply analytical methods, including calculations and simulations, for the design and optimization of structures and mechanical components
  • Drive every phase of device launch from early feasibility prototyping through manufacturing release

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering industry experience
  • Experience owning products from concept to production
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with robotic systems such as robot arms, grippers, actuators, and human-robot interaction
  • Multidisciplinary experience in robotics software and control (Python, ROS, MATLAB, control theory)
  • Electrical engineering proficiency including PCB design, wire harnessing, and circuit design
  • Proficiency with conventional machining and rapid prototyping technologies
