Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, build, test, and fly a system of actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications
• Collaborate with Electrical, Systems, Software, GNC, Manufacturing, and Flight Test engineers
• Own hardware from concept through flight test and certification
• Perform hands-on build, test, and integration of designs

Requirements

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years professional experience developing mechanical systems
• Experience with current CAD and FEM packages
• Experience in innovative system designs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in electromechanical or mechanical engineering
• Demonstrated ability to drive designs to closure
• Experience taking designs through FAA certification
• Design for manufacturability and volume production
• Previous experience with aircraft or other safety-critical mechanical systems
• Flight and/or ground test familiarity or experience
