As part of Re:Build Manufacturing, we provide full turnkey solutions—from initial concept through fabrication, installation, and commissioning—serving industries such as green energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and process engineering scope from concept development through startup and commissioning
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment specifications
• Create detailed engineering drawings and process models using CAD and simulation tools (FEA & CFD)
• Facilitate requirements gathering, materials selection, and vendor engagement
• Collaborate with senior engineers to execute professional development goals, including PE licensure
• Support project estimating, proposal development, and schedule creation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and controls engineers

Requirements

• BS and/or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-3+ years of experience in industrial process equipment or capital project environments
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with analysis and simulation tools (SolidWorks FEA and CFD preferred)
• Experience with process diagramming tools like Microsoft Visio
• Ability to work on-site in Rochester, NY or Rush, NY
• Willingness to travel to client sites and suppliers (typically <25%)

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification
• Knowledge of industrial cooling, ventilation, water, piping, steam, or pressure vessel systems
• Experience with ISO9001 quality systems
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
