Mechanical Engineer Product Development

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and devices using CAD software
• Perform technical analyses and simulations including FEA, stress analysis, and thermal modeling
• Collaborate with product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams
• Analyze and solve complex technical problems through systematic troubleshooting
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, drawings, and reports
• Participate in design reviews to improve product quality and manufacturability
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and material selection
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation

Requirements

• Proficiency in mechanical CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the product development cycle and technical design principles
• Experience with technical analysis tools and simulation software (FEA, CFD)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, material science, and material selection
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agile or iterative product development methods
• Knowledge of quality assurance, testing protocols, and validation procedures
• Familiarity with industry standards and legal requirements for mechanical construction
• Experience with 3D printing or rapid prototyping
• Background in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial equipment industries
• Knowledge of cost analysis and design for manufacturability (DFM)
