Mechanical Engineer - PHE

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and design of all Public Health Engineering (PHE) elements, including water, sanitary, and storm water drainage.
• Lead concept design and space proofing based on architectural and structural inputs.
• Perform design calculations in accordance with relevant BS Standards, CIBSE Guides, and international codes.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Oversee the quality of design outputs from PH Modellers and manage clash resolution with the BIM team.
• Ensure the timely completion of all design deliverables within project limits.
• Coach and develop junior staff members by sharing technical knowledge and experience.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Public Health Engineering.
• 7 to 9 years of experience in Public Health Engineering (PHE) or Plumbing design.
• Proven experience in designing internal and external water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is mandatory.
• Mandatory knowledge of ACC and BIM 360 workflows.
• Strong understanding of relevant BS Standards and Codes.
• Experience working on diverse building types such as residential, commercial, healthcare, airports, or metro projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of irrigation distribution networks.
• Familiarity with Middle East standards and local regulations (e.g., DM/ADM, DEWA).
• Experience with UK/British, Middle East, or ANZ (Australia/New Zealand) regions.
• Knowledge of sustainable and green building design practices and rating guidelines.
• Experience with Digital Automation of Public Health services.
