About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and engineering solutions for plant utility and environmental systems, including HVAC, chillers, steam, and fire protection.
- Design and support mechanical systems such as cooling towers, AHUs, pumps, and heat exchangers for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Perform technical calculations for airflow, temperature, humidity, and utility loads.
- Develop engineering deliverables including P&IDs, airflow diagrams, equipment layouts, and BAS control philosophies.
- Manage multiple projects by developing scopes of work, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing technical oversight through execution.
- Support operations through procedure development, preventive maintenance improvement, and Root Cause Failure Analysis.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proven engineering experience.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Process Safety Management (PSM) elements.
- Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management solutions or other CMMS applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations.
- Experience in project management.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical industry standards.
