Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
• Produce 3D CAD models, GD&T-annotated drawings, and BOMs in SolidWorks
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to ensure manufacturability and scalability
• Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, and validation testing
• Identify and resolve hardware issues through root cause analysis
• Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, and product teams
• Maintain engineering documentation including ECOs and test reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of professional mechanical design experience
• Proficient 3D CAD skills in SolidWorks
• Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal, injection molding, or CNC machining
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA/DFT principles
• U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or asylee/refugee status (ITAR requirement)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FEA or CFD tools
• Background in UAVs, robotics, or aerospace systems
• Exposure to electromechanical co-design and PCB/wire harness integration
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and ECO processes
• Experience with carbon fiber composites or additive manufacturing
