About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to mechanical system design and integration across multi-domain programs
  • Own components or subassemblies from concept through production release
  • Design and develop mechanical/electromechanical assemblies using Siemens NX
  • Apply DFM, DFA, and DFC principles to ensure designs are scalable
  • Create production-ready drawings with clear documentation and correct GD&T
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support part bring-up and first article builds
  • Support inspection planning and production validation fundamentals
  • Participate in prototype builds, testing, and root-cause investigations
  • Perform mechanical analysis including FEA, tolerance analysis, and thermal/structural evaluations
  • Provide hands-on support during assembly, integration, and testing

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing mechanical products
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and drawing release practices
  • Experience supporting parts from prototype through production release
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, die casting, high-precision machining, or injection molding
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams
  • Working knowledge of quality fundamentals and inspection processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace or aviation systems exposure
  • Experience in high-performance, fast-iteration environments like automotive or robotics
  • Familiarity with environmental testing standards such as DO-160
  • MATLAB or Python for basic analysis/automation
  • Exposure to electric or hybrid propulsion systems
