Responsibilities
- Lead test programs for repair technology development in laboratory settings and via commercial subcontracts
- Conceive and produce technical designs, instructions, and procedures
- Contribute to the development of novel repair techniques by drafting and reporting on subcontracted contracts
- Support project planning, equipment testing, and repair deployment through travel to vendors and shipyards
- Execute laboratory operations in a productive, timely, and compliant manner
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS Degree with 2+ years of experience
- DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) required
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standards
- Proficiency in digital design/CAD skills
- Experience planning and executing test programs and analyzing experimental results
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of materials engineering
- Background in industrial operations
- Familiarity with digital data acquisition hardware and software
