Responsibilities

• Lead test programs for repair technology development in laboratory settings and via commercial subcontracts
• Conceive and produce technical designs, instructions, and procedures
• Contribute to the development of novel repair techniques by drafting and reporting on subcontracted contracts
• Support project planning, equipment testing, and repair deployment through travel to vendors and shipyards
• Execute laboratory operations in a productive, timely, and compliant manner

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS Degree with 2+ years of experience
• DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) required
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standards
• Proficiency in digital design/CAD skills
• Experience planning and executing test programs and analyzing experimental results

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials engineering
• Background in industrial operations
• Familiarity with digital data acquisition hardware and software
