Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects
• Design HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and associated mechanical systems
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and design documentation
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
• Undertake site inspections, construction support, and design reviews
• Deliver projects to programme, budget, and quality objectives
• Support proposal development and contribute to winning work
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5–10 years of experience within building services consulting
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems
• Experience delivering projects in commercial, healthcare, education, transport, aviation, or public sector facilities
• Understanding of sustainable building design and energy-efficient solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
• Chartered status, or progress towards chartership, is advantageous
