Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing concept designs for mechanical sub-systems, focusing on reliability and mission-critical performance
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings for components including plastic injection molded parts, die castings, and sheet metal
• Set up and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and release mechanical prints through PLM systems
• Provide on-site support for prototype assembly and pilot production runs to identify design improvements
• Perform mechanical verification tests and validation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proficiency in generating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings (experience with PTC Creo or Solidworks is a plus)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and PCBA assembly
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural or heat transfer applications
• Knowledge of IP (Ingress Protection) sealing standards for water and dust resistance
• Understanding of material properties for engineering plastics and die-cast metals
• Ability to clearly present technical data and conceptual ideas to the engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles
• Experience with basic tolerance stack-up analysis
