Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering scopes from concept and feasibility through detailed design, procurement, and commissioning
• Manage vendors throughout the equipment lifecycle including specification, technical bid evaluation, and inspection
• Perform static equipment design for tanks, silos, and pressure vessels including mechanical sizing and structural load calculations
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to validate equipment designs for stress, fatigue, and thermal loading
• Design and integrate solids-handling and material-conveyance systems such as conveyors, feeders, and dust-control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in static equipment design and preparing mechanical equipment specifications
• Proficiency with FEA tools and mechanical design software like AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with solids-handling and conveyance equipment
• Experience with pyrometallurgical processes and equipment
• Familiarity with mining, mineral processing, or chemical manufacturing environments
