Lynk is the inventor of satellite direct to standard phone technology (sat2phone) and holds the world’s only commercial license from the FCC to operate a commercial sat2phone system. Lynk's technology enables mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and modeling of satellite and payload hardware using SolidWorks
• Develop materials and structural analyses including vibration for space hardware
• Perform thermal analyses of components and entire systems across all operational modes
• Interface with systems, harness, software, and electrical RF engineering teams
• Support satellite and payload integration, testing, and delivery to launch
• Design and plan mechanical testing configurations for in-lab and in-orbit performance
• Perform mechatronics work including testing, integration, assembly, and prototyping
• Maintain technical documentation for payload and satellite design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 to 6 years of experience in design, integration, or test of space hardware
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word)
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large CAD assembly models and drawings
• Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods; machine shop experience is highly desired
• Hands-on experience integrating hardware, electronics, or full satellites
• Experience with thermal, modal, random vibration, or structural FEA using tools like Femap, NASTRAN, Ansys, or Thermal Desktop
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages
