Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for drone hardware and structures
• Design and release production-ready parts and assemblies
• Create detailed engineering drawings with GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Perform lightweight structural design and material selection
• Conduct FEA or first-principles analysis for structural and thermal problems
• Manage designs from concept through prototyping, testing, and production
• Debug mechanical systems and perform root-cause analysis on failures
• Work with vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or hardware engineering
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360
• Experience with prototyping (3D printing, CNC, composites)
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with drone, UAV, aerospace, or robotics systems
• Familiarity with FPV hardware and propulsion integration
• Experience with carbon fiber structural design
• Knowledge of motors and rotating machinery
• Experience designing test fixtures, jigs, or validation setups
