Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for drone hardware and structures
• Design and release production-ready parts and assemblies
• Create detailed engineering drawings with GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Take designs from concept through prototyping, testing, and production
• Debug mechanical systems and root-cause failures in real-world conditions
• Work with vendors, suppliers, or contract manufacturers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or hardware engineering
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360
• Experience with lightweight structural design and material selection
• Hands-on prototyping experience including 3D printing or CNC machining
• Experience with DFM/DFA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with drone, UAV, aerospace, or robotics systems
• Familiarity with FPV hardware and propulsion integration
• Experience with composites and carbon fiber structural design
• Knowledge of motors and rotating machinery
• Experience designing test fixtures, jigs, or validation setups
