Mechanical Engineer (Loads and Dynamics)

Responsibilities

• Resolve spacecraft dynamics problems through analysis, test, and model correlation
• Develop and maintain finite element models for spacecraft structures and mechanisms
• Perform dynamic analyses for launch, transportation, and on-orbit environments
• Analyze vibration, shock, acoustic, and modal environments
• Own dynamic testing from pre-test analysis through data processing and reporting
• Build scripts and internal tools to improve dynamics work quality
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and integration teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 4+ years of experience in dynamics, structural analysis, or mechanical testing
• Experience with finite element modeling or structural analysis tools
• Strong analytical fundamentals in vibrations and structural dynamics
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a related technical discipline
• Experience with Ansys, NX, or similar analysis tools
• Experience with spacecraft, launch vehicles, or deployable space structures
• Strong software skills for analysis automation and signal processing
