About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of innovative data center cooling solutions using the Eaton portfolio and third-party equipment.
  • Provide technical leadership in mechanical design, including Whitespace design, chiller plants, AHUs, Fan Wall Units, and facility water systems.
  • Implement advanced cooling strategies such as hot/cold aisle containment, air, liquid, and hybrid systems.
  • Research and design solutions for emerging technologies like direct-to-chip liquid cooling and Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs).
  • Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize airflow and thermal performance to meet PUE targets.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Business teams to ensure technical quality in quotations and project execution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in client-facing meetings with engineering consultants, contractors, and end-users.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and specifications complying with industry standards like ASHRAE, CIBSE, and OCP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
  • 3–5 years of specific experience focused on data center or mission-critical projects.
  • Deep technical knowledge of data center power and cooling architectures (HVAC, chilled water systems, pumps, motors, and BMS).
  • Proficiency with design and simulation tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status or active progression towards chartership.
  • Experience with CFD simulation tools.
