Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications
• Document engineering processes and workflows
• Collaborate with senior leadership, government agencies, and the KBR team
• Operate with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools such as ANSYS
• Working knowledge of material selection and manufacturing techniques
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and data
• Knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and supportability challenges
• Experience with root cause analysis
