About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design large-scale mechanical projects and provide high-level technical leadership
  • Represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members
  • Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work
  • Perform equipment selections, load/energy, and pressure drop calculations
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and telecom disciplines
  • Oversee QA/QC processes for personal work and the work of others
  • Manage CAD/BIM and other technical staff assigned to specific projects or tasks
  • Assist in project scheduling, manpower requirements, and budget determination
  • Perform construction administration, including processing RFIs, Change Orders, and conducting field investigations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 7-8+ years of experience working within a consulting firm
  • EIT certification required; PE license required for Senior Engineer level
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Strong ability to coordinate complex mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED AP accreditation
  • Experience in Mission Critical, Science + Technology, or Healthcare sectors
  • Project Management experience
