Mechanical Engineer IV

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer HVAC and mechanical utilities for buildings
• Oversee Mechanical discipline scope of work and manage discipline budgets
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and construction managers
• Perform site selection, master planning, load calculations, and energy modeling
• Develop construction drawing packages, specifications, and P&IDs
• Provide lead support for construction activities including RFI responses and submittal reviews
• Mentor less experienced Mechanical Engineers and Designers
• Lead mechanical staff in the execution of advanced project design and engineering

Requirements

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in good standing
• Advanced experience with HVAC, mechanical utility, and piping systems design
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, fire, and building codes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Laboratory) or Food & Beverage industries
• Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design accreditation
• Experience with industry standards such as ASHRAE, ISPE, FDA, and NFPA
• Experience with Revit plugins like Enscape and Unifi
• Experience with parametric workflows using Dynamo, Grasshopper, or Rhino
