Eden is pioneering sustainable natural resource recovery by using electricity to enhance subsurface permeability. Their Electrical Reservoir Stimulation technology offers a precise, water-efficient alternative to traditional hydraulic fracturing, reducing environmental risks while maximizing resource extraction.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and build of next-generation stimulation and energy-delivery systems operating at high temperature and high pressure
- Architect structural and mechanical systems surrounding electrical assemblies
- Perform FEA / CFD modeling for stress, vibration, fatigue, and heat transfer in cyclic HPHT environments
- Design and qualify pressure vessels, housings, and protective enclosures to relevant ASME and ISO standards
- Collaborate with electrical and power-electronics teams for electro-mechanical performance and thermal management
- Engage with vendors, fabrication partners, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability
- Support field mobilizations including configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting (travel ~10–20%)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
- 3-10 years of industry experience designing and validating mechanical or structural systems
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, ANSYS, or COMSOL Multiphysics
- Familiarity with electrical integration for mechanical components
- Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication, assembly, and test setup
- Strong communication skills to bridge electrical, mechanical, and geoscience disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with dielectric materials, electrode housings, or thermo-mechanical coupling
- Background in geomechanics, rock-tool interaction modeling, or fracture-mechanics coupling
- Experience integrating sensors, data acquisition, or diagnostic instrumentation in HPHT systems
- Exposure to industrial-utility environments involving complex mechanical-electrical system interfaces
