Mechanical Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Manage mid-level safety-related projects and participate in site safety teams
• Lead small and medium-level site capital projects on time and within budget
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify issues with processing equipment or reliability
• Manage Management of Change (MOC) activities for standard process and project activities
• Support production troubleshooting during the start-up of new equipment
• Update Standard Operating Procedures and provide operator training for capital projects
• Identify site improvement opportunities and support complex continual improvement projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, OR
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proven experience with root cause analysis and project management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with thermoplastic film extrusion and web handling
• Proficiency in CAD, SAP, and Microsoft Office products
• Professional engineering registrations or certifications
• Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline
