Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Research, design, procure, implement, and maintain mechanical and electromechanical systems
• Support sales, facilities, and production as a mechanical engineering knowledge resource
• Investigate complex solutions and manage projects involving plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
• Design and lead fabrication of test fixtures with proper documentation and customer agreements
• Drive qualification and acceptance of test fixtures for internal and customer use
• Provide training on new test fixtures, equipment, tooling, and mechanical systems
• Lead equipment installation, preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and validation
• Conduct assigned client testing to support production and engineering
• Perform backup calibration functions including Uncertainty of Measurement
• Maintain and improve the calibration program and Quality Management System (QMS)
• Mentor and train other mechanical engineers

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of working laboratory experience in the mechanical engineering field
• Solid understanding of fundamentals of physics and mechanics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, and general computer literacy
• Ability to read and interpret protocols, industry specifications, and procedures
• Preferred experience in mechanical or electromechanical systems
