Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for custom emergency response vehicles.
• Use CAD and CAE software to develop structural designs, model new products, and produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Verify designs through mathematical calculations, analytical techniques, and computer simulations.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) methodologies with an emphasis on metal fabrication and assemblies to ensure production productivity.
• Define test requirements and interpret results to validate product specifications and process validation plans.
• Identify technical problems and execute resolutions using root cause analysis (5 Why).
• Execute engineering changes through established documentation processes and maintain high standards of excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education.
• 2-4 years of related mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) software.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and assemblies.
• Experience with problem-solving techniques such as 5 Why and root cause analysis.
• Experience applying statistical techniques and data analysis to engineering tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and layouts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with production employees and leadership.
