Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems
• Support factory and suppliers with product development, troubleshooting, and obsolescence management
• Interface with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical challenges
• Participate in design peer reviews and conduct trade studies to support technical decision-making
• Support technical data package updates and work alongside Quality engineers on First Article Inspection (FAI) processes

Requirements

• University degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerances) and tolerance analysis
• Proficiency in CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software
• U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the design and production of mechanical hardware for military environments
• Experience developing, creating, and updating mechanical technical data packages
• Experience working in a factory environment supporting low-rate or full-rate production
• Working knowledge of Military and Commercial Specifications
• Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management or equivalent software
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
