Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers on sustaining initiatives to drive quality, reliability, and margin improvements
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for components and assemblies
• Perform engineering analysis including functional review, tolerance stack analysis, and manufacturability
• Write and execute test plans from early concept and communicate results to cross-functional teams
• Work directly with suppliers on-site to review parts and resolve manufacturing issues

Requirements

• 2+ years of mechanical design experience
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong fundamentals in statics, dynamics, stress analysis, and material science
• Experience with sheet metal, injection molding, weldments, machining, and casting
• Proficiency in a 3D MCAD package (Solidworks preferred)
• Experience with test and measurement tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Design of Experiments (DOE) competency
• CAE experience (FEA, Dynamic Simulation, or Thermal)
• Experience with Windchill PLM
• Proficiency in reading and applying GD&T
