Mechanical Engineer II (NPI)

Responsibilities

• Own critical parts of next-generation hardware products, including rechargeable energy accessories
• Design, prototype, and test complex mechanical components around microelectronics
• Generate technical documentation including 3D files, 2D drawings, BOMs, and ECOs
• Communicate engineering requests and changes to international vendors and contract manufacturers
• Support verification and validation plans using design of experiments (DOE) methodologies
• Perform engineering root cause analyses to identify and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate new technologies and manufacturing methods
• Travel up to 20% internationally to visit contract manufacturers and suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in the design of complex mechanical products
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, including advanced assemblies and complex surfacing
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools for proof-of-concept models
• Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer electronics, wearables, or medical device industries
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes such as injection molding or sheet metal design
• Familiarity with validation testing methods and statistical analysis tools
• Experience working in fast-paced or startup environments
• A passion for health and human-centered wearable technology
