Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document gear manufacturing machines and automation systems
• Utilize 3D parametric CAD software (Creo preferred) for modeling components and systems
• Maintain Master Bills of Materials (BOMs) for current and legacy machines
• Collaborate with Electrical Controls, Fluid Power, and Software engineering teams using a Systems Engineering approach
• Perform technical troubleshooting and provide Engineering Change Orders (ECO) based on design requirements
• Facilitate Design Reviews, FMEA, and Risk Management meetings
• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure efficient machine assembly and part coding
• Provide technical cost and schedule estimates for sales proposals

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD software (Creo preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance applications
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of large assembly management, piping, and MBD
• Experience in sheet metal design and precision component selection
