About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and assemble mechanical and control components
- Develop and execute testing protocols and maintain experimental records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve hardware, software, and control systems
- Maintain testing equipment to ensure operation according to specifications
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in academic or industrial settings
- Experience with automation and controls (PLC, Arduino, Instrumentation, Industrial Controls)
- Experience with fabrication and CAD design (3D Printing, CNC, Prototyping)
- Experience with fluid and gas management (Piping, Valves, Instrumentation)
- Ability to work full-time onsite in a hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid dynamics
