Mechanical Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and assemble mechanical and control components
• Develop and execute testing protocols and maintain experimental records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve hardware, software, and control systems
• Maintain testing equipment to ensure operation according to specifications
• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in academic or industrial settings
• Experience with automation and controls (PLC, Arduino, Instrumentation, Industrial Controls)
• Experience with fabrication and CAD design (3D Printing, CNC, Prototyping)
• Experience with fluid and gas management (Piping, Valves, Instrumentation)
• Ability to work full-time onsite in a hands-on environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid dynamics
