Mechanical Engineer - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and implement data center thermal management and cooling solutions
• Plan liquid cooling architectures including CDU, cold plate, and loop piping systems
• Develop HVAC construction drawings, equipment layouts, and system diagrams
• Design water supply and drainage systems in compliance with data center regulations
• Coordinate with construction teams and suppliers for technical handovers and on-site supervision
• Perform heat load calculations, hydraulic calculations, and equipment selection
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ASHRAE, GB 50174, and Uniform Plumbing Code

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC Engineering, Building Environment, or related major
• At least 5 years of experience in HVAC system design or O&M
• Proficiency in CAD drawing software
• Expertise in data center cooling architectures and PUE/WUE concepts
• Ability to perform cooling/heating load and pipe hydraulic calculations
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data center or U.S. construction projects
• Certifications such as Registered HVAC Engineer, PMP, or First-Class Construction Engineer
• Experience in energy simulation, airflow simulation, or heat transfer modeling
• Familiarity with chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and CDUs
