Responsibilities

• Drive rapid hands-on development of robust electro-mechanical products through to production
• Collaborate with external suppliers to optimize designs and streamline manufacturing processes
• Conduct field testing on farms with farmers, ranchers, and animals to ensure ergonomic design
• Travel to suppliers in China and Thailand (approximately 10% of the year) to oversee production
• Maintain high ownership and accountability for project success and team growth

Requirements

• Experience in highly reliable device design for robust environments (e.g., automotive, agricultural, or military)
• Expertise in verification and validation, including designing and documenting high-quality tests
• Proficiency in injection molding, including tool commissioning and managing contract manufacturers
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Ability to travel internationally to manufacturing sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience validating production processes for high-volume manufacturing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance startup environment
