About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and iterate mechanical hardware across robotic, spacecraft, satellite, and propulsion systems
- Work with electrical and software engineers to define requirements and interfaces
- Assemble, integrate, and maintain prototypes and early builds
- Plan and execute operational verification, reliability, and quality testing
- Feed insights from builds and tests back into mechanical design standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 1+ years of experience designing and supporting electro-mechanical systems
- Proficiency with mechanical CAD
- Experience creating mechanical drawings and maintaining drawing packages
- Hands-on ability with mechanical assembly, integration, and testing
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds
- U.S. citizenship required for ITAR compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with space-grade hardware or mechanisms
- Experience in prototyping and fabrication support
