Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate mechanical hardware across robotic, spacecraft, satellite, and propulsion systems
• Work with electrical and software engineers to define requirements and interfaces
• Assemble, integrate, and maintain prototypes and early builds
• Plan and execute operational verification, reliability, and quality testing
• Feed insights from builds and tests back into mechanical design standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 1+ years of experience designing and supporting electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency with mechanical CAD
• Experience creating mechanical drawings and maintaining drawing packages
• Hands-on ability with mechanical assembly, integration, and testing
• Ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds
• U.S. citizenship required for ITAR compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with space-grade hardware or mechanisms
• Experience in prototyping and fabrication support
