About the role

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for vehicle components and assemblies
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to create, review, and release vehicle components
  • Use analytical tools to assess stress, vibration, thermal performance, and durability
  • Support designs throughout the entire lifecycle, including production launch and field support
  • Work with test engineers to create DVP&R and execute test plans
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers to iterate designs
  • Provide engineering input for technical publications such as service and parts manuals

Requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the engineering industry
  • Familiarity with automotive, commercial, or heavy-duty vehicle design
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, CREO, or SolidWorks
  • Experience with BOM management and component suppliers
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Service (DFS)
  • Ability to perform basic finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Experience with vehicle structures, weight reduction, and crash safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience developing suspension kinematics and compliance models
  • Exposure to simulations for predicting ride and handling performance
  • Working knowledge of suspension geometry and component parameter selection
