About the role

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for vehicle components and assemblies
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to create, review, and release vehicle components
  • Utilize analytical tools to assess stress, vibration, thermal performance, and durability
  • Support designs throughout the entire lifecycle, including development, production launch, and field support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers
  • Work with test engineers to create DVP&R and execute test plans
  • Provide engineering input for technical publications like service and parts manuals

Requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Engineering industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, CREO, or SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with BOM management
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Service (DFS)
  • Experience with component suppliers and product validation
  • Understanding of ADA and relevant safety/regulatory standards
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive, commercial, or heavy-duty vehicle design experience
  • Proven ability to design complete interior systems (seats, instrument panels, trims)
  • Experience in Value Engineering and cost-efficiency optimization
